Have our cities been friendly to the elderly? Do Urban designers and Planners consider the elderly a part of the process? Does the Urban environment induce Dementia to its inhabitants? Is the city only for the young and dynamic?

In our collaboration with CogWorks led by Jwala Narayanan, a practicing Neuro-psychiatrist, we conducted a study to understand the relation of built environment and dementia through a series of mapping activities with Cox Town reisdents in Bengaluru. This exercise framed some of the key questions for envisioning an approach to the future of conscious ageing in our city.
